No. OHMS BI works with manual meter readings on all plans. Smart meter API connectivity is available on Household and Commercial plans for automatic daily updates via the Hildebrand Glow network, which connects to all SMETS2 smart meters across the UK.

OHMS BI uses your meter readings and tariff rates directly — not a supplier login — so it works with every UK supplier including Octopus Energy, British Gas, EDF Energy, E.ON Next, Scottish Power, OVO Energy and all others. Tariff rates are updatable whenever your supplier changes them — including when the Ofgem price cap changes quarterly.
The forecast uses a moving average of your own historical daily usage — not national averages — so it improves the more readings you add. Most users find accuracy within 5–10% of their actual bill after three months of data. You can adjust the moving average window from 2 to 6 periods in settings to balance reactivity with stability.
